Is this method for determining the length of a sidereal day comprehensive? - north pole 45 rapidshare
I have a picture from the circle of stars around the celestial north pole. The exposure time was 45 minutes. I needed a method to determine the length of the sidereal Tag Image, develop.
I have the average angle of the arcs of the road by 9 degrees. Volume 360 degrees / 9 = 40 degrees
Then I took 40 x 45 (minute) = 1800
1800/360 = 5
So I guess the length of my sidereal day 23 hours and 55 minutes
I thought of a solar day 24 min light hours and the sidereal day 23 hours 56
